We are on Holiday Tomorrow!
On this special day (31st August 2009), Malaysia, our beloved country is celebrating its 52nd Independence Day. The theme for this year celebration is “1Malaysia”. In simplest term, “1Malaysia” means all Malaysian (regardless of races, religions, cultures and values) unite under one roof for a common goal – bring prosperity to this very blessed country.
As it also nears Hari Raya (The new year celebration of all the Malays and Muslim Friends)… It’s a good time to show some 1Malaysia Spirit@!
For all the Chinese, Indians and Iban friends out there, are you visiting any of your Malay friends or colleagues in coming Hari Raya?
For all the Malay friends out there, are you too inviting your Chinese, Indian, Iban friends to your house for a nice home-made Rendang chicken in coming Hari Raya?
If we all can be proactive and do our tiny part (we owe this to ourselves, NOT politician!), by simply showing care, understanding and respect on our other ethnic friends culture, lifestyle and religion belief, 1Malaysia won’t be merely just a slogan, it, indeed, can be a reality.
